Thankful
We live, we die..We laugh, we cry. We play, we make. We love, we fight.
We seek, we find....
We lose, we win. We miss, we thrive.
We forgive, and we forget...
Perfection is not in the human form, no matter how we try.
Some of us will go on thinking of all the things that could have been, and some of us will take a leap of faith with amazing results.
Some of us will have sad beginnings with happy endings; some of us will carry the baggage 'til the end. Some of us will let go and find a light step.
We were created with flaws and we were created with talents. Some of us will try to hide, and some will scream really loud...
Some of us will believe with a blind faith, and some of us will not see the light even when it's blinding our eyes.
Today, I am thankful for the spoken truth, for the laugh, tears, triumph and for the mistakes.
For the sun, the wind and the rain.
For the family and for the friends.
And for all of you that made me realize that beliefs, distance and time can make us find a common place... to create!

Hope
We cannot touch it. We cannot buy it. There is no formula on how to create it. We can wish it, and we can feel it, comes sometimes when we most need it, and can leave abruptly when we let go....
A very close friend, Carmen was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer; she may not be with us to celebrate the New Year.
My words can assure her that everything will be fine, even tough I feel it may not be that way.
She has HOPE, like a blinding energy that illuminates her days. I am amazed on how happy she is and on how much strength she gives us, instead of us giving to her. Almost as if she knows that everything will be ok.
.... And sometimes, I feel that we are the ones that stopped hoping, and she just carries on...
Today, I HOPE that she keeps brightening our lives, and that her heart keeps filling ours with the same light.
Thank you
Carmen.
